3rd Shift: 11:00PM - 6:00AMPosition Overview

The Manufacturing Supervisor leads, supervises and directs manufacturing efforts and supports staff within the production area to ensure customer needs are met. The Supervisor will train, develop and motivate the workforce toward continuous quality improvement, teamwork, a positive and safe working environment and cost effective operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain manufacturing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

  • Coordinate and manage material flow, accuracy and quality of work performed. Provide ongoing communication to management and engineering on all manufacturing issues

  • Improve schedule linearity, total product cycle time, inventory levels, manufacturing efficiency and employee satisfaction

  • Ensure compliance to safety rules, work expectations, housekeeping standards and consistency of operating practices across shifts and work areas. Conduct regular informational and improvement team meetings

  • Supervise productivity and ensure that staffing levels are in line with the manufacturing plan. Execute and lead the Performance Management process for all direct report employees. Ensure the development and implementation of training plans and monitor the maintenance of training certification records

  • Lead root cause/corrective action analysis with direct reports and coordinate corrective actions when quality incidents occur

  • Actively participate in Kaizens and Lean Operation activities

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices

  • Align with team effort by accomplishing related results; ensuring data accuracy and integrity; assuring systems compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate standards

  • Follow QRS, ISO and all applicable regulations and company procedures

  • Ensure that all personnel in his/her area are aware of the importance of Environmental Policy and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements, and the potential impacts of their work. Find opportunities and propose ideas to minimize or eliminate environmental problems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Administration, Engineering or related area

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in supervision in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and Spanish)

  • Proven strong people management skills

  • Supervisory and problem solving skills

  • Computer literate and solid experience with report writing
