About the role

Responsible for the directing, managing and coordinating activities for the scheduling system. Responsibilities include all operational aspects of assigned product lines: forecasting, planning, capacity planning, performance measurement, inventory management and control, product obsolescence and support of new product development. Ensure that the required delivery dates for all distributor orders are met. Provide direct support to customer service area and Engineering. Develop thorough knowledge of the finite capacity scheduling systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interface with Engineering / Documentation Dept to ensures that finite capacity scheduling system is perform in a controlled manner by identifying exceptions in the process; such as routings, works centers, operations, etc.

  • Conduct weekly meeting with Operations personnel to discuss demands and modify manufacturing schedule to meet unforeseen conditions.

  • Assists Production team by supervising actual production to resolve if plan is being met.

  • Interact with the Customer Service Dept and other OPCo on dates to orders, by Product codes.

  • Handle replenishment program al a distributors level and safety levels required, by reviewing to fill orders and future orders, publish a report on weekly basis with by days on hand.

  • Lead that the required delivery dates for all distributor orders are met by improving the use of resources.

  • Develop and supervise manufacturing capacity analysis and make recommendations.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

  • Supplies to team effort by accomplishing related results; keeping business information confidential; coordinating the system security; ensuring data accuracy and integrity; maintaining updated professional and technical knowledge; assuring systems compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate standards; ensuring a safe and healthy environment.

  • Complies with QRS, ISO and all applicable regulations and company procedures.

  • Acknowledge and maintain dedication with the environmental policy and participate actively in the environmental programs to achieve the objectives and targets with their area.

  • Participate in the development of environmental improvement projects, which imply the minimization, all possible negative environmental impacts of daily operations and activities.

Education/ Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration with knowledge in Materials Management. One (1) to two (2) years in Manufacturing environment with hands on responsibility in Materials Management, Production activity control Capacity Planning, MRP and Scheduling related functions.

Location and Commitments

  • Permanent Full-time role based in Fajardo, PR

  • Ability to travel up to 15-20% required (post-COVID)

  • Overtime may be required to ensure projects are delivered on time.
