Overall Responsibilities

Responsible for the direction and supervision of the activities for the scheduling system. Ensure that delivery dates for all distributor orders are met. Provide direct support to customer service area and Engineering. Develop detailed knowledge of the finite capacity scheduling systems.

Education/experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Materials Management.

  • Zero (0) to two (2) years in Manufacturing environment with hands on experience in Materials Management, Production activity control/Capacity Planning, MMRP and Scheduling related functions. Knowledge and understanding of the overall Manufacturing and Packaging processes Planning, shop floor control and Demand Management/Forecasting

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Proficient with Materials Planning Computerized systems.

  • Efficient handling and comprehension of spreadsheets, reports.

  • Supervisory skills and Team oriented.

  • Good oral and written communication skills (English and Spanish).

  • Develop solutions to routine technical problem of limited scope.

  • Contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks. Failure to achieve results can normally be overcome without serious effect on schedules and programs.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with Engineering/Documentation Dept to ensures that scheduling system is performed in a controlled manner by identifying exceptions in the process; such as routings, works centers, operations, etc.

  2. Conduct weekly meeting with Operations personnel to discuss weekly demands and modify manufacturing schedule to meet unforeseen conditions.

  3. Assists Production personnel by supervising actual production to determine if plan is being met.

  4. Interact with the Customer Service Dept assigning due dates to orders, by Product codes.

  5. Lead replenishment program al a distributors level and safety levels required, by reviewing to fill orders and future orders, publish a report on weekly basis with by days on hand.

  6. Develop and supervise manufacturing capacity analysis and make recommendations.

  7. Maintain job related procedures with current revision and provide training to end-users.

  8. Actively engage in the Materials Improvement Team meetings, goals and initiatives.

  9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results; keeping business information confidential; coordinating the system security; ensuring data accuracy and integrity; maintaining updated professional and technical knowledge; assuring systems compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate standards; ensuring a safe and healthy environment.

  10. Complies with QRS, ISO and all applicable regulations and company procedures.

  11. Acknowledge and maintain dedication to the environmental policy, and participate actively in the environmental programs to achieve the objectives and targets with their area.
