This position is responsible for the daily operational efficiency of the Warehouse department including: strategic focal point in inventory management, supply planning, allocation decisions and utilization of finished goods inventory throughout the Distribution network. Provides materials, equipment and supplies by advising receiving, warehousing and distribution services; supervising staff.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Experience using collaboration tools, such as SharePoint or Slack

  • Great interpersonal skills and an eye for detail

  • Ability to train employees when needed

  • Knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe work environment; developing personal growth opportunities 2. Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; mentoring, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and implementing systems, policies and procedures.

  2. Completes operations by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; capturing resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving operations problems; maintaining reference manuals; implementing new procedures

  3. Accountable for the improvement and profitability of the company’s goals by; participating and ensuring end of month, end of quarter and end of year activities are completed, accurately and on a timely manner; supervising employees; evaluating actions and performances

  4. Controls expenses by gathering and submitting budget information; scheduling expenditures; supervising variances; implementing corrective actions.

  5. Maintains professional and technical knowledge, by and as applicable, attending educational workshops and trainings; reviewing publications; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

  6. Leads the prevention of health and occupational hazards working hand in hand with the department of greeting and safety.

  7. Supervision Received: Works under only general direction. Independently resolves and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

  8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results; keeping business information confidential; coordinating the system security; ensuring data accuracy and integrity; maintaining updated technical knowledge; assuring systems compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate standards; ensuring a safe and healthy environment

  9. Ensure that all personnel in the area is aware of the importance of Environmental Policy and EMS requirements, their roles and responsibilities and the potential impacts of their work.
