This position is part of the Quality Control Department located in Fargo, ND and will be onsite working a first shift position. You will be a part of the Quality Control Team and report to the Senior Manager, QC-QCRG. The position is responsible for analyzing RG projects through sampling, testing via sequencing, and completing the applicable documentation to support RG Manufacturing, Technical Operations, and Research & Development (R&D) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Independently perform sequencing assay according to established standard operating procedures, including primer design, plate set-up, and sequencing result analysis

  • Use Codon Code Aligner, Snap Gene, and Primer Premier software to complete daily tasks

  • Accurately document and compare sequencing results against control/specification limits. Document test results on the internal Aldevron Database

  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist in troubleshooting as needed.

  • Perform data entry and peer review for accuracy in accordance with laboratory procedures.

  • Provide detailed analysis and generate reports for RG level Sanger Sequencing projects.

  • Maintain inventory, reagents, buffers, and other lab consumables.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in any scientific field is required

  • Knowledge of basic laboratory practices required and QC testing methods preferred.

  • Experience with Sanger sequencing method preferred.
