This position is part of the Quality Control Department located in Fargo, ND and will be onsite working a first shift position. At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of the Quality Control Team and report to the Senior Manager, QC-QCRG. The position is responsible for analyzing RG projects through sampling, testing via sequencing, and completing the applicable documentation to support RG Manufacturing, Technical Operations, and Research & Development (R&D) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Independently perform sequencing assay according to established standard operating procedures, including primer design, plate set-up, and sequencing result analysis
Use Codon Code Aligner, Snap Gene, and Primer Premier software to complete daily tasks
Accurately document and compare sequencing results against control/specification limits. Document test results on the internal Aldevron Database
Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist in troubleshooting as needed.
Perform data entry and peer review for accuracy in accordance with laboratory procedures.
Provide detailed analysis and generate reports for RG level Sanger Sequencing projects.
Maintain inventory, reagents, buffers, and other lab consumables.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in any scientific field is required
Knowledge of basic laboratory practices required and QC testing methods preferred.
Experience with Sanger sequencing method preferred.
