POSITION SUMMARY: The role of a Quality Assurance Engineer is to monitor and drive continuous improvement of customer satisfaction through analysis of internal & external quality performance and management of projects within the sustainment organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors and reports on quality metrics and progress toward quality goals including internal, incoming, and external quality and complaint handling process

  • Works with test stand development engineer during hand-over of test stands for production and takes on the 1st level trouble shooting and maintenance for those test stands (LabView)

  • Develops and consistently executes global product quality improvement processes, interacting with global peers based on internal and external quality issues

  • Engaged in test plans and design of experiments to isolate and correlate independent variables

  • Provides consistent problem-solving leadership and inputs to drive design, process control and systemic improvements by applying the Danaher Business System (DBS)

  • Actively involved in performing component and product test which includes root cause analysis and recommendation for improvement of the test routines and the quality of tested components and products

  • Regular review of collected test results for trend changes and apply corrections

  • Initiates 4D/8D report for purchased items and supports procurement

EDUCATION, BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelors (or higher) degree in a technical discipline preferred (Physical Sciences or Engineering) or similar qualification

  • Formal training in quality planning, tools and analysis

  • In depth knowledge of quality principles and technical tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, design for six sigma, control charts and other quality methodologies) with the ability to train and provide consultation

  • Has completed or is willing and able to complete Black Belt Six Sigma Training

  • 3+ years experience in a development, manufacturing or quality environment including experience in a cross-functional teams

  • Working knowledge of various manufacturing processes preferred

  • Working knowledge of change control, process control and quality system management

  • Good computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, statistical tools). Ideally LabView skills to maintain test stands

  • Must be able to set and attain goals and initiate action to resolve problems and improve products and processes.

  • Must be able to provide concise summaries of quality issues, changes needed or made, results delivered.

  • Überwacht und berichtet über Qualitätskennzahlen und Fortschritte bei der Erreichung von Qualitätszielen

  • Arbeitet bei der Übergabe von Prüfständen an die Produktion mit dem Entwicklungsingenieur für Prüfstände zusammen und übernimmt die Fehlerbehebung und Wartung auf der ersten Ebene für diese Prüfstände (LabView)

  • Entwickelt globale Prozesse zur Verbesserung der Produktqualität und führt diese konsequent durch

  • Behebung interner und externer Qualitätsprobleme in Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Teams

  • Unterstützung bei Testplänen und bei der Planung von Experimenten

  • Aktive Unterstützung bei der Problemlösung und Verbesserung des Designs und der Prozesskontrolle durch die Anwendung des Danaher Business System (DBS)

  • Aktive Beteiligung an der Durchführung von Komponenten- und Produkttests, einschließlich Ursachenanalyse und Empfehlungen zur Verbesserung der Testroutinen und der Qualität der getesteten Komponenten und Produkte

  • Regelmäßige Überprüfung der gesammelten Testergebnisse auf Trendänderungen und Anwendung von Korrekturen

  • Initiierung von 4D/8D-Berichten für gekaufte Artikel und Unterstützung der Beschaffung

ANFORDERUNGEN:

  • Abgeschlossenes Studium in einer technischen Disziplin bevorzugt (Naturwissenschaften oder Ingenieurwesen) oder vergleichbare Qualifikation

  • Erfahrung in der Qualitätsplanung, im Umgang mit Qualitätsinstrumenten und bei der Qualitätsanalyse

  • Kenntnisse der Qualitätsgrundsätze und technischen Instrumente (Problemanalyse, statistische Instrumente, Versuchsplanung, Six-Sigma-Planung, Regelkarten und andere Qualitätsmethoden) mit der Fähigkeit, Schulungen und Beratungen durchzuführen

  • Mehrjährige Erfarhung in einer Entwicklungs-, Fertigungs- oder Qualitätsumgebung, einschließlich Erfahrung in einem funktionsübergreifenden Team

  • Kenntnisse der Änderungskontrolle, Prozesskontrolle und des Qualitätsmanagementsystems

  • Gute Computerkenntnisse (Textverarbeitung, Tabellenkalkulation, Grafiken, statistische Werkzeuge), idealerweise LabView-Kenntnisse zur Wartung von Prüfständen

  • Fähigkeit, präzise Zusammenfassungen von Qualitätsproblemen, erforderlichen oder vorgenommenen Änderungen und gelieferten Ergebnissen zu erstellen
