The Field Service Technician performs a variety of tasks but the primary responsibility is to conduct service, repair and/or installation of flexo graphic plate making equipment at customer site in accordance with maintenance contracts. Diagnoses system failures and determines most cost-effective solution. Escalates complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system. May develop new customer service/product agreements.
•Experience with laser optics and plate making •Any advanced electronic field or equivalent experience, including military •Good working knowledge of Windows operating system •Strong troubleshooting and electrical diagram reading skills •Customer focused with excellent communication skills •Minimum 3 years in a technical support role or maintenance environment •Travel requirements: 100% in the field travel. Up to 25% overnight •Able to use testing equipment Hands-on and non-procrastinating approach •Knowledge of Esko products and software a plus
