Danaher Corporation Lead Qualification and Quotes Specialist in Fort Collins, Colorado

*This position is typically performed onsite in the Hach Office in Loveland, Colorado, however, will start in a remote environment while we continue work from home efforts due to Covid-19. Must be open to working in a remote environment but also flexible to shift back to an onsite office once restrictions are lifted.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Qualification and Quotes Specialist will contact and qualify lead referrals to determine interest level as well as answer calls/e-mail requests for quotation from customers. The role is focused on accurate quoting (when warranted) and guidance for customer inquiries. The Lead Qualification and Quotes Specialist will need to quickly build rapport and establish trust and credibility through a consultative selling style, thereby building a pipeline for the sales organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responds to all written and/or verbal requests for quotations by providing quotes and other sales materials to prospective customers in all vertical markets.

  • Follow standard work to contact and convert leads to opportunities per sales cadence.

  • Engage clients and prospects via phone to qualify them as opportunities and assign them to the appropriate owner(s).

  • Execute a consultative sales strategy with our internal solution selling methodology.

  • Handle incoming technical and applications sales questions from customers and provide prompt, accurate answers and pricing/ successfully qualify the lead.

  • Identify customers' needs and provide the 'best' or 'total' solution drawing from a wide range of products and services.

  • Monitor customer trends in drinking water, wastewater, and industrial markets.

  • Advise customers and prospective customers on relevant service offerings for each product inquiry including extended warranties and preventative maintenance agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.

  • 1-2 years sales or application experience. Proven ability at cross-selling and up-selling

  • Previous customer relations experience via phone with strong phone presence

  • Ability to answer technical questions relating to the product.

  • Helpful/Preferred: Knowledge of the operation of plants and or laboratories, water testing requirements and procedures, and water control regulations that apply to plants.
