Do you want to work with a fast-paced, global, and cross-functional team? Do you enjoy speaking with customers and helping them identify solutions to solve some of the hardest challenges in emerging and global biopharma companies and their contract partners (CROs and CDMOs)?

We are currently seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant based in Boston, MA (Hybrid). The Senior Solutions Consultant will partner with Account Managers and use their scientific expertise and creativity to engage customers by showcasing how IDBS' solutions can solve their scientific data management challenges.

What we’ll get you doing:

  • Effectively deliver value-based product demonstrations to customers in-person, remotely, and at conferences.

  • Own pre-sales actions (including demos, RFPs/ RFIs) on qualified opportunities in partnership with Account Managers and the Solutions Consultancy Team.

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to help qualify the customers’ needs, demonstrate direct value and efficiency savings through a detailed ROI, and drive the engagement through to a successful sale.

  • Maintain commercial awareness and provide feedback to Product Managers and Marketing on IDBS’ customers, competitors and technology trends.

  • Proactively learn how to configure and demonstrate IDBS software and work within the solutions consultancy team to review and improve our pre-sales materials.

Here is what success in this role looks like:

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites (minimum 25%)

  • Demonstrated experience both using and configuring scientific/ informatic software (i.e., LIMS, LES, ELN)

  • Degree level qualification and/or equivalent experience in a scientific discipline (i.e., Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering) plus 3-5+ years of experience in Biotechnology, Bioprocess, Pharmaceutical and/or Early Research domains

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer community including scientists, IT, Department Heads, Senior Management and Business Sponsors.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects / customer activities simultaneously.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Technical sales/ Consulting/ Sales Engineering

  • Configuring software and/or using IDBS (or similar) products

  • Partnering with sales on account planning and execution
