Description

I.Purpose of Position

/ This is an account management role focused on expanding Trojan project sales & market share in Europe. In general, ensures strong visibility to available municipal and industrial UV market opportunities, and ensures sales funnels are strongly maintained and strategically managed. /

II.Key Responsibilities

/ Planning /

· Supports the preparation of annual sales plans (PO targets & revenues)

· Regularly assesses market size, Trojan competitiveness, Trojan market share, strategies of competitors, etc.

· Provides periodic progress sales updates

· Remains current with respect to regulatory bodies and regulations with respect to water treatment, and UV applications

· Regular review of assigned customer accounts and planning of regular visits to key customers (minimum one visit per year for each Key Account)

· Contributes (if required) in the decision making process of the Prospect / Enquiry Review Team

/ Sales Activities /

· Achieves individual PO & revenue targets established by the employer (e.g. PA Objectives) for projects

· Proactively visits prospective IC clients, municipal sites, water treatment companies, consulting engineers, contractors, trade offices, etc. to identify possible opportunities for municipal UV water treatment

· Advises clients about all aspects of UV treatment

· Tracks all emerging projects identified, quoted or bid, and their ongoing status

· Ensures that relevant sales quoting tools (SalesPro, Nautilus, Oasis, Sales Force, etc.) and the Trojan Portal are properly used and regularly maintained with current information//

· Identified and differentiate between Type 1 (small) and Type 2 (large) projects//

· Prepare offer/quotes/bids for Type 1 projects by using the correct sales tools for those accounts assigned to you//

· Participate and/or lead workgroups build to prepare offers/quotes/bids for Type 2 projects or any other projects where the assistance of a workgroup is required//

· Develops/maintains fact-based understanding of market pricing for UV products

· Remains thoroughly familiar with all Trojan products, related specifications, value selling propositions, etc.

· Attends shows, industry events, etc. as required and instructed by the manager to represent Trojan

· Presents papers, lectures, etc. at seminars, conferences & customer events as required. On individual basis and also together with other sales managers

· Provides technical support at Meetings

· Achievement of annual PO Forecast & profitability targets

· New-client prospecting

· Generation of new projects quotes, purchase orders and revenues

· Numbers of projects supported/leaded

· Performance Appraisal (PA)

Qualification

IV.Background and Skill

· Minimum 5 years of strong sales & management experience in water treatment industry (with technical background)

· Suitable engineering degree (preferred)

· Experience in managing (project) sales through 3 rdparties (agents), and in motivating a group of sales reps and/or agents

· Strong experience with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Fluent in English and German

· Demonstrated relational and presentation skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate well to both the customer, and to all levels of the organization

· Ability to travel within Europe and North America
