Danaher Corporation Manager, Logistics Budget and Analytics in Fremont, California
Responsible for developing and maintaining cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models in order to manage Cepheid’s global Logistics budget.
Lead the development of Cepheid’s PowerBi based Logistics Dashboard
Manage a team of three Logistics Analysts in the U.S. and France
Execute day to day processes and perform data management applying a combination of data mining, data modeling, and data analysis; cost/benefit analysis and/or problem analysis
Undertake ad-hoc queries to perform various Logistics related cost/benefit analysis
Responsible for conducting analysis and creating reports of weekly and monthly KPIs and forecasts.
Actively participate in transportation alignment and tracking performance to awards and cost.
Manage internal and external team responsible for auditing transportation invoices to ensure correct billing.
Estimate costs for new business opportunities-indirect/direct freight, DC Costs, etc.
Drive Outbound Freight Recovery (OBFR) results through analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Implement and maintain DBS protocol (visual daily management) to track key Logistics KPI’s
Periodic international travel (10%)
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Management, or in a related field and 9+ years of experience in Transportation or Logistics.
Previous experience as a people manager, ideally internationally.
A strong financial acumen – the ability to utilize fundamental concepts of finance to manage budgets, forecast costs, and provide relevant information for decision-making.
Must possess creative thinking ability, originality and imagination while developing a solution to a problem
Requires excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to be able to clarify and resolve complex business issues by breaking them down into meaningful components to determine root cause, and to redesign internal and external business processes where necessary. Ability to approach problems systematically and develop scalable solutions
Must be able to function in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment
Must be highly organized and able to multi-task with a clear bias for action and a sense of urgency on priorities
Advanced Excel skills required, knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft Access a plus
