Grow your sales career with us! The Mass Spectrometry Territory Manager is responsible for the sale of SCIEX instruments within designated territory, driving revenue and order growth by following up on existing customers, new customer acquisitions, cross-selling to existing customers, competitive conversions and working with distribution channels where possible for increased sales.
Responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned sales targets and accurately forecasting monthly and quarterly sales
Has an understanding and experience in analytical workflows (LC/MS/MS, chromatography) and provides Mass Spectrometry sales expertise with regard to market, applications and competition.
Has a basic understanding of the sales process, different sales markets and has knowledge of our products and services
Has an understanding of how to use sales tools and CRM in order to manage funnel and achieve business results
Attend and support local technical shows and mass spectrometry related discussion groups
Has a general understanding of our product portfolio and the ability to explain technical product and services information
Has the ability to communicate our value proposition to customers, based on given customer’ needs and interests
Has basic knowledge of sales principles and methods of promoting, and selling products or services.
Can successfully work in a team selling environment and navigate complex sales situations across multiple functions (Applications Support, Field Service, Product Demonstration, Product Management, Market Development Managers
Uses standard account planning tools to guide own work and solve routine sales problems
Ability to apply decision and problem solving skills to achieve results
Develops competence by performing structured work assignments
Uses Procedures to solve routine or standard problems
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences or equivalent experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts.
At least 4 years successful experience in direct capital equipment sales is preferred.
Some experience in a Sales role; including making sales presentations, negotiating and closing sales.
Travel requirements: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally when/if required.
Has a basic understanding of how to manage dialogue, exchange straight forward information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
