Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, an operating company of Danaher Corporation, is recruiting for a Manager, Global Marketing and Competitive Intelligence.

This role can be Remote based.

As Manager of Global Strategic Marketing Initiatives, you will be responsible for communicating the evolving market position and quarterly financial performances of the top global in-vitro diagnostic manufacturers by geography and key product segments to our executive management team.

This includes providing quarterly reports and analytics to deliver insights on market share expansion & decline across key product and market segments.

You will also aid in the company’s understanding of external market forces, such as Telehealth, on both organic and inorganic growth opportunities and business risk.

In partnership with leaders from across the business units and global/regional commercial organizations, you will work cross-functionally to incorporate market segmentation and analysis into the creation of new product launch forecasts, ensuring forecasts are firmly rooted in the relevant segments that support future growth.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Evaluate current marketplace dynamics including market potential & competitor activity within the invitro diagnostic market. Perform industry trend analysis, customer segment analysis, market share and competitive analysis.

  • Build & maintain the quarterly executive market & competitor reporting package through utilizing our Global Market Model, including competitor, product segment, and geographic trends across the IVD industry.

  • Prepare market and competitor summary reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating sophisticated findings into written text.

  • Provide market insights and analysis for market and business development opportunities including exploration and piloting of new business models.

  • Lead all aspects of the incorporation our Global Market Model into both new product launch & long-term portfolio planning initiatives.

  • Research and analyze relevant competitor, customer, and partner information to support product launch segmentation & decision making in the commercialization process to aid in maximizing market opportunities at launch, penetration strategies, and maximizing new product return on investment.

  • Work with regional marketing and commercial teams to follow marketplace trends, technology adoption, competitive activity, and customer needs.

  • Develop global IVD market analysis & competitive intelligence to support Beckman Coulter’s annual strategic plan process.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 9+ years of experience or Masters degree with 7+ years of experience or Doctoral degree with 4+ years of experience.

  • Proven knowledge of how products are marketed and sold into US healthcare systems.

  • Proven command of financial planning and reporting, as well as of market and competitor segmentation methodologies.

  • Experience developing sophisticated, segmented, global market models through integration of the multiple data sources and the systems for regular updates and executive reporting.

  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data to commercially insightful & objective competitive and business analysis for executive management audience.

  • Excellent interpersonal communications and influencing, executive presence and experience in execution of global projects, working across multiple cultures and time zones.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Expertise in US diagnostic / IVD industry

  • Knowledge of GPOs and distribution channels
