Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:

This position will be responsible for 2 roles, Channel management and Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Specialist;

The position will be responsible for SCIEX products sales in the bio-pharmaceutical, food, environment, forensics, medical, academia, and other industries in Japan. Responsibilities will include lead generation, enquiry follow up, prospecting for new business, initiating and organizing demonstrations, producing sales forecasts and territory planning, customer quotation, dealer coordination and achieving product revenue and growth targets at bio-pharmaceutical, food, environment, forensics, medical, academia, and other accounts in Japan.

The Sales Representative will develop a deep understanding of customer workflow to identify gaps that we can address with our product and service offering, also deep understanding of competition and being able to competitively position products to achieve high win rates.

Taking a consultative sales approach, the Sales Representative will compete for all existing sales opportunities and develop new business within the territory to meet or exceed plan. This will involve managing a significant number of key accounts to build and maintain long term relationships. To achieve these objectives, the Sales Representative will use and involve internal resources and stakeholders early in the sales process and in the most efficient way.

During the course of daily responsibilities, the Sales Representative will gather information from the field and deliver it to Marketing to allow the Company to develop strategies and products appropriate to the market.

The Sales Representative will work with Marketing, Applications, and Service teams to achieve SCIEX products’ business targets.

  • Channel management;

Develop channel partner strategies to maximize our sales revenue and improve the relationship with them, and responsible for the daily management to monitor the performance, achieving the designated sales target. Work closely with the channel partners and sales associates, strengthening their salesforce to grow the business and to gain market share by driving channel partner strategy.

Implement the channel strategy to our sales organization based on the sales director and managers alignment.

Set up the sales target and the effective incentive plan to motivate our channel partners

Design the sales and product training for channer partners and provide them to channel partners periodically

Support sales team to communicate with channel partners about their territory strategies and provide the data analysis or something

Work with our inside sales team and create the process for lead creation and nurturing to increase our funnel

Manage the channel partner agreement annually

Organize the channel partner annual meeting collaborated with other function

Report out our local channel strategy progress to the global team

Use DBS, standard tools and processes to track and manage channel partner performance and drive the healthy business

Use SFDC to regulate the management of channel partner business and drive the growth of equipment

Execute the channel partner due diligence focus on the finance and legal compliant

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Proven success working in a field-based role.

Proven success in penetrating and managing large accounts.

An understanding of the market with life science background.

Metrics driven with strong CRM/data analysis and reporting orientation: Lead conversion, funnel strength, win/loss analysis, forecasting, etc.

More than 5-8 years of experience in channel sales of industrial products,

More than 3 years of experience in B2B business

Good communication skills and sales skills; Strategic mind set

Proven track record of successful sales in bio-pharmaceutical, food, environment, forensics, medical, academia, and other industries, preferably related to Capillary Electrophoreses and Mass Spectrometry, preferred.

Good technical and product knowledge in MS and CE science preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Highest levels of personal and professional integrity, ethics.

Must be native level of Japanese language. Verbal English communication skills at business level.

Experience with personal computer, e-mail, Microsoft Office programs, and CRM systems.
