Danaher Corporation Graduate Software Support Associate in Gent, Belgium

As a Software Support Associate, you are the customer’s hero in time of need! A customer’s advocate internally and an Esko advocate externally, you stand by our customers in their basic information and technical requests, ensuring an effortless support experience.

Esko helps printing and packaging companies across the world, reducing time, effort, cost, complexity and errors. We do this by providing hardware and software for prepress, packaging design (ArtiosCAD), virtual prototyping, workflow automation (Automation Engine), packaging management (WebCenter) and colorimetry management and set of graphic arts professions.

Your challenge and Your Opportunity

Our Software Support Associates are an essential part of keeping our customers up and running with our solutions, with their passion and know-how of Esko software as they dazzle the customer with their technical ability to resolve even the most daring challenges in no time.

Owning the issue on behalf of the customer is so important to you, as you are the face and voice of the customer within Esko. Keeping the customer informed and updated as you getting things fixed is part of your natural empathy for customers. You’ll also love to learn, because this industry doesn’t stand still, so plugging in to the latest trends and mastering the newest technologies are just as important, too.

When you join Esko as a Software Support Associate, we will put you on a training programme to help you understand the fundamentals of the printing and packaging industry and give you a solid grounding in the main Esko products. Once you have completed your foundation training after 6-12 months, we will them help you develop your Esko career into a specialism. Perhaps you would love to become a Field Service Engineer, an Application Engineer, a Technical Sales Manager or even a Solution Architect?

This role combines not only ongoing training and the opportunity to work as you develop but working alongside experts in the field at customer sites as you develop your career specialism. Critical Success Factors for the Ideal Candidate Profile are:

  • Good communicator with the ability to build a healthy relationship with customers.

  • Empathy for other people (colleagues and suppliers as well as customers!)

  • Proactive to the problem at hand, as well as challenging how we eliminate problems in future!

  • Excellent listening skills and ability to understand and interpret customer needs and manage customer expectations.

  • Fluency in English and one or more of the following languages: German, French, Dutch / Flemish, (fluent or native speaker level).

  • On occasions, you may be expected to help colleagues with deployments, both remotely and on occasions, on site.

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

  • Experience in problem solving, and quick learner.

  • Analytical mindset, with a calm, methodical approach to problem solving.

  • Experience of handling technical issues with customers and / or suppliers.

  • 2-3 years in IT support or software application / installation support.

  • Ideally experience of working with and supporting SaaS products
