The Opportunity

Are you a strong self-starter who has advanced knowledge of financial reporting and IT controls?

Are you eager to gain exposure across an impactful organization by facilitating and implementing accounting and control policies on a global basis?

As a Compliance Analyst you will work closely with the Finance and Information Technology leaders onsite in Glen Allen, VA, day to day. You will play an integral role in developing and maintaining compliance with SOX processes and procedures and support the implementation of Internal Audit recommendations.   • Execute detailed Finance & IT control testing procedures

  • Document Sarbanes Oxley testing results and/or findings, including the gathering and organizing of documentation or evidence collected

  • Assess SOX Finance & IT controls and develop recommendations remediation steps to management, collecting evidence to facilitate SOX Testing

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to document the planned remediation steps and estimated completion dates

  • Liaise between Finance, IT and Internal Audit

  • Review customer contracts for determining proper insurance requirements providing contractually compliant documents to our customers and 3 rd party administrator sites

  • Assist with or conduct special investigations or special projects

    Are you qualified?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years accounting and financial reporting experience required

  • Proven track record conducting audits and Sarbanes Oxley or Compliance testing, including the development of remediation steps and IT General Controls required

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, work effectively on concurrent tasks, and be able to meet project deadlines required

  • Experience in Information Services including knowledge of auditing principles, auditing standards, IIA standards and Sarbanes Oxley requirements

  • Strong proficiency in US GAAP reporting & management reporting needs
