Danaher Corporation Director, Diversity + Inclusion - Water Quality Platform in Glen Allen, Virginia

The Director, Diversity + Inclusion will bring thought leadership, a voice, vision, integrity, and team-oriented philosophy to advance the diversity and inclusion efforts at the Water Quality Platform. The Director will guide and lead initiatives that cultivate an environment that values and demonstrates our commitment to our D+I strategy. This position will be responsible for developing and executing a cohesive approach to aligning and integrating a range of new and existing initiatives, policies, programs, systems and procedures that foster an inclusive climate where all can thrive.

A significant part of this role will be in assisting and promoting the development of training programs that enhance associate understanding on inclusion issues. The Director D+I will have the breadth and depth of experiences and significant accomplishments to further advance D+I engagement across the Opco’s/Regions, which include establishing methods for tracking progress, monitoring the success of programs as well as other actions that promote diversity throughout the company. Serve as senior advisor, counsel, and confidant to the Water leadership team up to and including the Group Executive and Executive Vice President.

  • Collaborate with the leadership teams and external partners to align D+I efforts and establish and assess appropriate success measures to help achieve goals

  • Work with Opco communications leaders to design communication plan and campaign blitz

  • Serve as the subject matter authority and liaison to HRBPs and the business to develop strategic sources of attracting/developing/retaining diverse talent

  • Pinpoint, build, and sustain community partnerships to support corporate D+I projects/plans/initiatives and business strategies

  • Partner with corporate D+I team to ensure all Danaher programs are appropriately cascaded throughout Water Platform

  • Ensure there’s consistent alignment on initiatives resulting from our Associate Resource Groups (ARG’s) programming

  • Partner with Danaher’s Diversity and Inclusion leadership team on enterprise wide initiative in support of Water Quality strategic plan

  • Min 2 years of experience as HRBP, Talent Leader or business leader

  • 5+ years’ experience leading related D+I initiatives and programs in a corporate environment with demonstrated understanding of culture integration including shared governance and respect for diverse views and opinions

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role with shown success in developing and leading D+I or equity initiatives with demonstrated upward movement

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and conflict resolution skills

  • Project management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven success in managing multiple projects

  • Solid knowledge of diversity metrics and inclusion programs

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time

  • Undergraduate degree

  • MBA preferred

The salary range for this role is 151 – 215K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
