The Payroll Analyst will assist and support the Global Payroll Manager by processing personnel changes to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees in North America. Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are in accordance with the government regulations and SOX compliance. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks.


  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly and monthly payroll for Canada, Trinidad & Tobago, and US. Reviews and ensures accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions.

  • Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll and human resources to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. overtime analysis, leave balances, and retirement contribution reports.

  • Run ADP Connection daily and Workday Global Reporting to ensure accuracy.

  • Adhoc reporting

  • Assist with EOM variances and payroll discrepancies in forecast vs. actual.

  • Handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system. Enter employee data, valid feeds from Workday for each employee; monitor submissions of approved timesheets, ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll service.

  • Establish/maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization and adherence to matrix of authority policy including SOX and compliance with federal/state/local regulations.

  • Ensure the timely processing of journal entries including coordination with Accounting department for new GL accounts.

  • Coordinate with local tax municipalities to set up local tax withholding accounts. Provide and update standard work and policies as needed. Prepare and distribute payroll related reports. Assist with year-end to include but not limited to reporting, W-2’s, T4’s. and T2200.

  • Project Management to include but not limited to additional pay groups, vendor changes related to payroll, and policy changes.


  • AP vendor set up and changes to employee vendors (direct deposits/address changes) 10%

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business or degree with minimum 4 years of relevant work history, MS Office, and previous automated payroll experience. Knowledge of ADP PayForce and WFN, ADP Connection, and Workday a plus

  • FPC required or CPP preferred

  • Intermediate Excel Skills
