Danaher Corporation Recruiting Coordinator in Glen Allen, Virginia


On the ChemTreat Recruiting team, the Recruiting Coordinator is the foundation for being able to move forward. Without you, the ChemTreat Recruiting team wouldn’t be as successful. It is a meaningful and exciting role to be in. In this position, you will focus on supporting the Recruitment function by effectively multi-tasking while providing excellent customer service and building solid working relationships with our internal and external clients. You are an integral partner in managing recruiting activities and building candidate relationships; often providing candidates with their first impression. The candidate experience should always be top of mind.

  • Manage the candidate experience to include the interview process

  • Own, develop and advise on the candidate communication and logistics for the overall interview experience (complex phone and in-person interviews)

  • Coordinate all scheduling for candidates and internal interview participants i.e. interviews, debrief sessions and any other communications such as assessments/testing, etc.

  • Coordinate logistics, including travel, reservations, and candidate itineraries.

  • Participate in developing sourcing strategies to include creating new job posting, postings on job boards, niche sites, and college recruiting career pages.

  • Act as a liaison between ChemTreat and Water Quality Platform Talent Acquisition to ensure consistency in the candidate/hiring manager experience

  • Participate and help to coordinate our involvement in career fair events and college campus activities

  • Ensure that career fair recruiting materials are kept up to date and are fully stocked.

  • Help to develop a process to manage the documentation of the interview and assessment process in line with all local compliance and government requirements - ensuring all is consistent and auditable - using appropriate systems

  • Assist in the initial screening of candidates in Workday to forward along to the Recruiting Manager

  • Manage all new hire documentation

  • Manage New Hire I9 process

  • Assist Hiring Manager with onboarding activities


  • 3 years minimum in a high volume environment with the ability to maintain organization.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

  • Someone who works well autonomously who can take initiatives as needed.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced culture a plus

  • Ability to think on your feet and problem solve

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent customer service skills and follow-through internally and externally in order to provide a positive candidate experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills from concept to completion. This includes an understanding of key stakeholders, and the creation, editing, and tailoring of compelling job descriptions and messages

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple functions

  • Recruiting/HR experience is a plus

  • Ability and interest in generating, analyzing and delivering recruitment related reports as needed.


  • Someone who has been in a Human Resources, Recruiting field position, or other fast paced business areas.

  • Experience in a recruiting coordinator or recruiting role for at least one year is highly preferred.

  • Experience working in a fast- paced work environment is preferred.

  • High school or equivalent is required for this role.

  • Experience using any type of applicant tracking system would be preferred.
