GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Senior Manager, Business Analytics and Data Warehouse is responsible for leading and managing a team comprised of both direct report, cross functional assets, and third-party resources in the execution of ChemTreat’s digital transformation strategy. This leader will provide expertise and guidance in the development of the architecture, design, and integration to all data systems and processes; as well as, the design, development, testing, launch, and adoption of critical business analytics solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Play the critical role in solution design, configuration and process engineering to build and maintain our Data infrastructure

  • Works with sales team and other department leaders to identify and prioritize technology development requirements and functions.

  • Work closely with the functional, technical, and vendor teams to create and implement fit for purpose business analytics solutions

  • Communicates priorities and schedules to development teams (internal or external), and establishes agreements for release schedules.

  • Works with support and marketing teams to develop training and marketing materials for internal and external users.

  • Coordinates with other departments (Information Systems, R&D, Tech Staff, Sales, etc.) to enable connections between software platforms and provide improved data accessibility and analytics.

  • Executes a robust internal and external training program to increase engagement

  • Research and lead proposed system and architectural changes

  • Lead technology initiatives and drive them to completion

  • Lead, mentor and manage associates including performance evaluations, pay increases, disciplinary actions, development plans, hiring and terminations.

  • Provide cost and resource estimates for technology investments and projects

  • Stay abreast of and promote application, database and infrastructure technology advances

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (domestically and globally)

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain current information about adjacent technologies, company capability, and competitor software offerings to inform future technology needs.

  • Maintain and adapt elements of company strategy related to computing, data analytics, and software development.

  • Perform analysis across a variety of data sets to identify potential strategic opportunities or threats.

  • Enable improved service for sales team and customers, and improved internal decision-making processes and reporting.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Technical knowledge: data analytics, data management, reporting & visualization, software development & release processes, data security

  • Business knowledge: strategy development, written and oral communications, organizational behavior

  • Required skills: interpersonal skills, teamwork & leadership, personal organization, prioritization, time management, project management

  • Ability to field many ad hoc reporting requests and requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 5-year Analytics/BI, including development and implementation of descriptive and/or predictive analysis, reports, and visualizations, candidates with a Masters’ degree, strongly preferred.

  • 5-years’ Experience in Microsoft environments (e.g. Power BI, SQL Server, Azure Machine Learning, Azure IIoT, D365, etc.)

  • Work history of successful software design and utilization of latest technologies in Microsoft Azure, Visual Studio, SQL Server Business Intelligence Studio; Microsoft’s SQL server and Windows Server environment.

  • Experience with Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Integration.

  • Power BI

  • Experience leading technical teams

  • Working knowledge of data warehousing and data extraction

  • Experience researching products and solutions

  • Experience using data visualization and reporting software (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire, DOMO)

    The salary range for this role is $125-$145k . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.

    • This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay up to an additional 15%.
