SUMMARY: The general responsibilities of this position will focus on the application of project management skills and supporting labeling and other compliance related projects for the sustaining group in R&D.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Leads R&D projects related to labeling or compliance as appointed by management. * Manages the organization of various word and excel databases to ensure accurate and timely reporting. * Prepares ECR, EO’s and other engineering documentation as applicable to the projects. Coordinate timely approvals with the cross-functional teams. * Inputs and pulls information from Oracle and verify cross-functional team. Creates BOM and Routing as needed. * Attends and hosts appropriate meetings – technical and core team, providing updates as required. * Lead and coordinate all the activities of the cross functional product development team through all phases of assigned projects * At the onset of the project will work with the cross functional development team to establish clear project objectives and the associated project plan. * Provide the necessary leadership to implement the project plan in accordance with applicable procedures. This effort will entail a continued focus on maintaining compliance with the planned scope, regulatory requirements, scheduling, and cost objectives for the project. * Work in conjunction with Regulatory Affairs to support 510(k) submissions, international registrations, foreign licensing, and all regulatory based objectives. * Exhibit an awareness of all orthodontic product lines, with a basic understanding of the associated clinical features and customer needs. * Provide updates to the Sustaining group, maintaining full visibility of the project status. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * A bachelor’s degree or equivalent. * 2 - 5 years of experience in project management preferred * Medical device experience preferred * Working knowledge of Master Control (including ECR/EO process) and Oracle documentation systems. * Familiarity with Ormco’s quality systems * Experience in offset lithography and digital printing for labeling * Excellent English written and verbal communication skills * Solid organizational skills; Able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously * Strong problem-solving skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment, strong desire to learn * Sound computers skills demonstrating a firm knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and Microsoft Project (preferred). PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: * PMP Certification preferred
