Description
The role of the Marketing Manager EMEA for the Leica Microsystems Microscopy division is to drive the execution of marketing plans in line with key strategic initiatives with a view to generate growth in the Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) region . This individual will develop strategic plans to achieve defined commercial objectives, including targets for revenue and lead generation.

This will be achieved though strong and active engagement and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders such as the Sales team, Global Marketing and Product Management, Copywriters, Marketing automation specialists etc.

This is a key role for the organization which has high expectations for this growing business segment.

Key Responsibilities:

The role of the Regional Marketing Manager EMEA is to drive the execution of Marketing plans for the Leica Microsystems Microscopy division for the EMEA region with a view to increase revenues and lead generation.

This will be achieved through active engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders. 1. Develop & implement marketing campaigns to generate leads
for new and current products to deliver planned growth in the EMEA region, leveraging the agreed marketing messages and value propositions via a variety of on- and offline approaches and customer facing events such as:

o E-Promotion (SEO, PPC, emailing) o Congresses, Workshops, Webinars o Key Opinion Leader Programs where applicable Monitors the success of marketing campaign activities based on metrics and makes necessary adjustments
  1. Drive revenue growth through key marketing activities Interact regularly with key stakeholders Global Marketing, Product Management as well as with the EMEA sales team to deliver a strategic plan, to support year on year growth with clear targets, tactical approach and metrics

    • Collaborate with Global Marketing and Product Management to support new product launches, positioning and messaging, development of sales tools and assessment of physician training needs
    • Contribute to the generation of value added content
    • Define and implement marketing activities to improve market visibility
    • Contribute to the definition of the commercial plan with appropriate member of the Sales Management Organization; define/refine the optimal Go-To-Market strategy
  2. Define and execute pricing strategy aligned with Global Marketing and Product Management; monitor pricing implementation; initiate promotions and monitor their performance to make the necessary adjustment

  3. Manage Customer Nurturing through targeted marketing activities aimed at moving customers through the buying cycle
  4. Contribute to regional competitive intelligence activities

    • Track competitor activities (regional product offerings, pricing, promotions, etc.)
    • Contribute to understanding key industry dynamics
    • Identify new markets and new growth opportunities

Qualification

  1. Professional Experience

    • 8-10 years incl. 5-6 years of marketing experience, in a commercial setting with a major life science or industrial sector scientific instrumentation manufacturer/provider

    • Demonstrated experience developing integrated campaigns with measurable results including the execution of content marketing, digital marketing and lead nurturing campaigns that deliver quality leads to sales

    • International experience

    • Knowledge/experience of microscopy would be a strong plus

  2. Education

    Business/Marketing degree or Material Sciences / Life sciences degree with additional business or marketing qualifications desirable

  3. Language

    Fluency in English essential, written and spoken, particularly with regard to generation of marketing materials. One further European language desirable

    Preferred locations: Frankfurt area (Wetzlar, Mannheim), Paris area. Other locations in Europe can be considered. Home office working possible.
