R2R Operational:• Ensure all financial close activities are completed timely and in accordance with corporate timeline, guidelines, and policies.• Management of financial activities will include: -- Preparation and posting of journals.
Monthly and quarterly closing activities and reporting. This will include the preparation of financial statements, Schedules, and Statement variance analysis.- Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation in accordance with the Finance Manual Policy and carry out an investigation if any discrepancies noted.- Consistently achieve and sustain R2R QDIP.- Involvement in SOX Audit compliance & other internal/ external audit requirements.
Support financial controller in GAAP & local statutory reporting fillings.• Transacting accounting entries, ensuring completeness & timeliness of entries booking.• Ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and data integrity of all financial data.• Support the delivery of timely and accurate general accounting work, government reporting, and group reporting.• Perform all other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Team Lead/ Team Manager
Leadership:• Assist with the induction of new team members to ensure understanding of activities and responsibilities.• Research and resolve issues with minimal guidance.• Promoting a team environment by assisting colleagues whenever necessary.• Work closely with CFS O2C, P2P & IC team, and local sites to ensure all month end deliverables are met.Innovation:• Propose & participate in continuous improvements for accounting/close processes.• Assist with system testing ensuring internal control issues are detected, reported, and working as required and assist the team with systems issues and raise service desk tickets.• Work in various projects, in various capacities, as requested by Management from time to time.
Requirements:• Candidate must possess at least an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting, or any professional qualification.• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position. (Preferably in a Shared Service environment).• Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills• Possesses excellent attention to detail, self-starter, quick learner, independent and team player with the ability to drive initiatives and change• Good communication and presentation skills.• Proactive and self-motivated with a high level of commitment• Able to work effectively in a team environment, high level of integrity, initiative, and a sense of urgency• Operating knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office application particularly Excel and Words• Excellent negotiation & communication skills in English• Ability to communicate in Mandarin or foreign languages is an added advantage
SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE - FIXED ASSETSEnsure all fixed assets close activities are completed timely and in accordance with corporate timeline, guides, and policies.• Responsible for providing support on Fixed Assets Reporting. This will include:- Record capital accruals and fixed assets related entries (acquisition/sales of assets/write-off).- Review and record entries for asset transfers between companies- Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger- Well versed in the Asset under construction accounting process• Ad hoc inquiries on fixed asset matters & support specific fixed asset reporting requested by the Local Finance team.• Experienced in SAP or other ERP Fixed Asset module is preferred.
