General Customers First. Our Field Service Engineers partner with our customers to provide innovative solutions to meet or exceed their expectations. We’re looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our growing global team of service professionals. The Instrument Service Group (ISG) partners with customers to get the best from our broad range of Life Science instrumentation platforms. We measure our success in terms of Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, and Customer Satisfaction. We need professional, motivated, friendly, independent, and technically savvy Engineer who does what it takes to get take care of the customer and represent our high standards.
Daily Duties Installation, repair, calibration and maintenance of customer instruments, on-site at customer sites, and in-house, at Pall facilities. Build and maintain relationships to delight our customers. Training, technical support, travel planning, administration. Timely input and updates to service records, reporting, etc. Work closely with Product Support and R&D to improve our customer solutions. Manage schedules, spare parts, quoting, billing, and capture of customer feedback.
Training and Certification As Pall continues to develop new technologies and solutions, we expect our Field Engineers to keep up to date and broaden their skills. Opportunities for training and career advancement include: Lean, software systems, Business Process Improvement etc
Ownership, Responsibility and Accountability We reward professionals who go the extra mile to serve our customers. We are building a Service Management System (SMS) to drive operational excellence. We expect everyone in the team to respond to our customers’ needs quickly and with minimum overhead. Our team takes ownership, to drive to solutions for our customers.
Education, Qualifications, Skills, Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or a related field preferred, but not required; or 10 year’s equivalent work experience and/or military training. Min. of 5 years’ experience with scientific research instruments, metrology, analytical measurement, medical devices or similar complex hardware and software systems. Previous Field Service experience required. Experience building, installing and /or repairing complex optical and electro-mechanical systems. Excellent written and verbal English is required. Strong MS-Office skills are required. Experience with Proprietary software systems, Databases, Laboratory Information Management Systems, etc., an asset. Clean driver’s license required. Valid current passport. Up to 50% travel required, both domestic and overseas. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. pallrsr
