Position Summary:

Responsible for the methodology of producing product components. Identifying and development of all production, assembly & test processes and procedures. Mfg. Engineer’s responsibilities include insurance that products are produced in most economical proficient manner. Ultimate quality characteristics and considerations must be adhered to.

Primary Responsibilities: * Ensure all relative routings, fixtures, tooling, procedures, processes, etc. are appropriately in place for manufacturing. * When tooling/fixtures are designed, Decipher whether tooling is to be built in-house or sub-contracted out. * Maintain the responsibility of ensuring cost effective on time procurement. * When doing any type of design development ensure all safety provisions are considered, applied and designed into process. * Once new or changed process is initiated, assume the responsibilities for safe operating implementation including written and or oral operating procedures. * Responsible for creating and maintaining BOM’s and routers for all parts and finished goods. * Maintain all materials in the Material Master Record database including costing and support Global Master Data team when needed. * Daily activities include production schedule, product process costs, identifying appropriate method of manufacturing, etc. * Ensure communication with supporting departments. * Continually keep up with familiarity with all aspects of production operations. * When on manufacturing floor ensure to understand process and communicate with production Operators in the development of ideas.

Skills and Knowledge: * Excellent communication skills * Knowledge of bills of material, routings, manufacturing procedures, tooling/fixture design, etc. is required. * Good mechanical abilities with excellent design practices.
* Familiar with CNC machinery, welding, sheet metal operations, and small machine/equipment design. * Must be PC literate and have good CAD experience. * Experience with BOM & Routing Strategies


Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline. * 3 years’ experience of hands on production/manufacturing engineering is required. Additional Requirements: * Although mandatory overtime is not exercised, each ME must use own judgment towards working required overtime hours in order to complete assigned project on time per schedule.
* Required Lifting Weight: 30 lbs. Lifting Frequency: As needed * Manufacturing Engineers must be able to freely visit production areas. At times M’s are required to participate hands-on utilizing tools, equipment, etc. on shop floor in efforts to initiate new or refurbished production equipment, tooling or process.
