Danaher Corporation X-Rite Global Danaher Business System Leader in Grand Rapids, Michigan

We are seeking a Danaher Business System Leader for X-Rite, part of Danaher's Product Identification Platform.

We are looking for a leader who will be responsible for driving global DBS capability and continuous improvement across the X-Rite Pantone businesses. The role is a key partner to the DBS team, General Managers and management teams to deliver KPI and Policy Deployment results. You should have the ability to link Danaher Business Systems (DBS) current state to CVDs (Core Value Drivers) through a DBS roadmap and lead organizational change that close gaps and build competitive advantage.

Our DBS tools are designed to help us excel in the areas of Growth, Leadership, and Lean, building on a strong foundation of DBS fundamentals (Voice of Customer, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Transactional Process Improvement, Kaizen, 5S, Problem Solving, and Visual & Daily Management).

Major Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging DBS tools, consulting skills, and change management process

  • Partner with the DBS team, GMs, and management to execute DBS strategy and roadmap to continuously improve processes and results within all areas of X-Rite Pantone. Leverage a solid understanding of DBS Fundamentals combined with business knowledge to achieve goals.

  • Contribute to delivering X-Rite Pantone DBS Maturity plan to drive DBS awareness, engagement, and capability. This includes a keen ability to assess the current state of different regions and departments across the business. Will work with local leadership to build the team and plan to grow DBS locally. Success here includes building DBS skill from multiple levels in the organization with evidence of sustainment.

  • Hands on support and coaching of Problem Solving process against key PD and KPI misses, building PSP capability and closing process and metric gaps. Supports the Business in PD execution.

  • Lead and develop global Kaizen funnel and DBS Certified Practitioner funnel which closes existing gaps and build future capability. Lead effective sustainment of results and drive problem solving as needed to close gaps to target.

  • Supports kaizen charter build, reviews, pre-work, execution, and sustainment. Quality of the kaizen funnel, preparation and sustainment is critical to success.

  • Support HVC (holistic view of commercial) capability building, action planning and execution.

  • Improve DBS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in DBS tools

Qualifications / Experience

  • 7+ years of Operations, Commercial or Engineering experience

  • BS or BA Degree in Business or Engineering required; Master’s Degree preferred

  • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a “general manager’s” point of view

  • Ability to design, develop, and implement a DBS roadmap for an operating business

  • Mastery of a variety of DBS tools

  • Superior communications skills

  • Superior training skills and adult learning theory

  • Superior consulting/influencing skills

  • Familiarity with various manufacturing process technologies

  • Hands-on experience implementing DBS (or continuous improvement principles) in a line management role

  • Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training environments

  • Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
