We’re looking for Product Platform Owner with strong commercial thinking and ability to represent the "voice of the customer" as we develop products. This role plays a vital role in enabling IDBS’s customers to realise the maximum value and benefit from our software solutions!

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Commercial Product Managers to understand the project business case and required work product.

  • Act as a bridge between the engineering teams and customer facing parts of the business, presenting functionality and benefits of our software products to support business growth.

  • Establish and nurture partnerships with external parties that provide technologies and capabilities that can reduce our customers' time to value and build the best products.

  • Develop and maintain our technical product roadmap and standards

  • Maintain a backlog to deliver software products, that meet customer needs, in an efficient manner and meet agreed timescales by the feature teams.

  • Determine and advocate for the best generic implementation where there are conflicting requirements / opinion to deliver the maximum benefit for IDBS and customers.

  • Collaborate with our Software Architects to ensure that the technical choices that are being made will have the best outcome for IDBS products.


  • Life sciences and software background with an emphasis on software integrations

  • Great skills in gathering requirements through interviews, data analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis

  • Engaging presentation and communication skills with an ability to explain complex scenarios in a simple manner

  • Resourcefulness, willingness to learn and excitement at new technology

  • Commercial thinking and customer focus with the emotional intelligence to collaborate with users to gather requirements for project definition

  • And importantly, a passion for technology and an appreciation for the incredible work our customers do
