What you’ll do

  • This is a technical sales role passionate about selling to chromatography applications with design-in and scale-up of the AKTA brand and resin/column solutions in mind.

  • Responsible for sales revenue, growth, and profitability of the AKTA lab scale chromatography instrumentation and media portfolio within their assigned territory.

  • Forecast orders and sales quarter over quarter within applicable sales funnel tools. Responsible for driving accuracy with forecasting data.

  • Build quarterly business plans for territory/assigned accounts including, opportunity generation, development, and closure as well as driven strategies and targets.

  • Drive and initiate development of new business opportunities working with Account Manager, Field Application Scientists and other Sales Specialists to acquire maximum alignment across the business. Continuously update their understanding of the customers’ changing operational issues and challenges.

  • Execute successful product demonstrations, internal and external trainings, seminars, workshops and promotional activities with support of field marketing and field application scientist teams.

  • Manage and communicate market trends to/from the field including competitor data, to understand and demonstrate a balanced driven advantage.

Who you are

  • BS degree in Life Sciences field.

  • Practical chromatography/purification lab experience.

  • Successful commercial experience, including but not limited to sales, marketing, technical support, field applications support within biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries in Life Sciences research.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience in giving technical seminars and product demonstrations.

  • Must live within and be able to travel extensively within assigned geography, ideally located near Hartford, CT/Worcester, MA.
