The OIS Data Scientist Intern - IT for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics will work to improve, modernize, and create innovative analytic solutions for the predictive data analytics needs of the Logistics and Distribution operations team to support On-Time-Delivery (OTD) and productivity metrics.
This position is part of the Information Technology (IT) Department located in Hebron, Kentucky and will be on-site at Beckman Coulter for the summer of 2023, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Operations Information Systems (OIS) team and report to the Senior Business Applications IT Manager responsible for Logistics & Distribution + Manufacturing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Modernize or streamline processing of existing Dashboards and Reports for the Hebron facility in various visualization tools such as PowerBI, APEX, etc
Develop solution to timely, efficient data reports to assist facility in meeting On-Time Delivery metrics on an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly cycle
Explore utilizing and combing large data sets from multiple sources including Oracle EBS (ERP), Snowflake, ADP, SQL, and more
Work closely with senior L&D Analysts, Supervisors, Business Analysts and Business Intelligence leads to learn existing setups and requirements.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Working toward BS in Data science, analytics, data automation, or other relevant quantitative field.
Skilled with SQL (ability to write queries and utilize SQL at a high level)
Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (example: PowerBI, APEX, AWS toolset)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience with various software languages: Python, SPSS, R, etc
Experience with Relation databases, machine learning, RPA (UIPATH)
