The Distribution Operations Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations, which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. The role also analyzes trends and identifies the most impactful opportunities using the Pareto principle

This position is part of the supply chain team located in Hebron, KY, and will be an onsite role. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Distribution team and report to the Director of Distribution responsible for all incoming and outgoing of materials at the Hebron distribution center. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Use data to solve challenging operations problems using the Danaher Problem Solving Process

  • Identify, develop, and execute strategic projects to improve customer experience and operational efficiency

  • Manage all distribution activities with a Supervisory staff to ensure assignments and daily objectives are met on or ahead of schedule by ensuring operation is adequately staffed and properly trained.

  • Drive associate engagement through team-building activities, accountability, and consistency

  • Cultivate a culture that utilizes Lean principles & the Kaizen mindset to improve processes & eliminate waste.

  • Develop daily plans to manage staff and resources in order to achieve world class on time delivery

  • Improve KPI performance through root cause analysis, implementation of countermeasures, and action plans

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors with 9+ years of relevant experience, or Masters with 7+ years of relevant experience, or High School diploma with 15+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience leading teams in a distribution or operations environment

  • Experience with Lean, Toyota Production System, or Danaher Business System Principles; one piece flow, standard work, 5S, Kaizen, problem-solving process

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Kaizen facilitation and Process mapping

  • Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel

  • Distribution in a regulated environment
