Danaher Corporation Clinical Applications Specialist in Herston, Australia

We are looking to hire a motivated and team oriented Clinical Applications Specialist (CAS) to join our Queensland team. The Clinical Applications Specialist works closely with the sales and service teams to provide support and effective management of new and existing accounts in line with the territory management plans. The Clinical Applications Specialist is an external representative of Radiometer and must convey a strong sense of expertise in Radiometer products, services and capabilities, serving as a key educator to our customers. The Clinical Applications Specialist will conduct customer training, instrument installations, make service delivery improvements and actively seek out sales opportunities. The successful candidate will have a commercial mindset and flexible approach to working hours when the need arises.

The CAS position is expected to contribute directly to customer retention and sales growth through recognition of improvements in sales opportunities and service delivery and enable the AM to focus on direct business development activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Assist with managing existing accounts, providing support to AMs and the individual territory business development plans.

  • Attend to individual customer requirements including; training, problem solving and consumable inventory management.

  • Maintain and manage existing customer relationships, promote the Radiometer brand, proactively seek out opportunities for service delivery improvement.

  • Document all customer related activities on CRM as required in a timely way

  • Liaise and work closely with Service Engineers as required to address specific instrument problems.

  • Communicate key observations and action points pertaining to individual customer accounts to the Account Manager and Regional Sales Manager on regular basis

  • Visit all key accounts on regular basis in line with established territory management plans and as defined by management, attending to all duties as specified.

  • Stock management - customer standing orders and stock takes

  • Customer device training as required

  • Installation of instruments at customer sites

  • Install training for customers

  • Device troubling shooting

  • Any other duties as may be required

Personal Training & Competency

  • Keep abreast of scientific/ clinical developments as they pertain to the Radiometer product range

  • Attend to on line training courses to facilitate a deep understanding of Radiometer's products, services and solutions.

  • Highlight and discuss short and long term training requirements with the Line Manager at regular reviews.



  • Tertiary Scientific/Medical Laboratory Qualification or equivalent

Work experience & skills


  • Ability to work and prioritise multiple tasks effectively

  • Working with cross functional teams

  • Experience in Medical Diagnostic industry, Laboratory and/or Sales

  • Knowledge and understanding of laboratory practices, some knowledge of Clinical chemistry

  • Ability to work and prioritise multiple tasks effectively

  • Working with cross functional teams

  • Competent user across Microsoft Applications

  • Ability to travel, including a valid drivers’ licence


  • Experience in basic maintenance of capital equipment

  • Detailed knowledge of Radiometer products and offerings

  • Familiarity with quality processes

  • Competent CRM user
