In this role, you will perform In-Process testing and calculations of our products to determine acceptance ranges for Beckman Coulter Inc. (BCI) Flow Cytometers (instruments such as FC-500, AQUIOS and NAVIOS). This position is part of the Reagents Department located in Hialeah, FL and will be onsite. We are currently seeking a Technician Production Operations candidate who will be responsible for Manufacture Products per Manufacturing Batch Records (Paper and/or electronic) using various system and equipment Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintaining accurate records of work performed according to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Quality System Regulations (QSRs). Schedule and perform Preventive Maintenance of equipment. Perform Indirect Labor tasks such as Inventory counting, Material transactions, process verifications, and troubleshooting malfunctions.   • Compile and analyze test information to determine whether the process or equipment is operating efficiently and to diagnose malfunctions.

  • Use relevant information and Critical Thinking skills to determine product and process compliance with the Quality System Regulations.

  • Drives Continuous Process Improvement and contributes technical expertise and direction for root-cause analysis of product issues as well as implementation and sustainment for product issue remediation.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High School Degree (or equivalent degree) and 2+ years experience working in an FDA-regulated environment/laboratory.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance, stand 6 to 7 hours a day

  • Ability to move materials in and out of a 2°C to 8°C degrees refrigerator 2-5 times a day.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience:

  • Forklift Operations

  • Proficiency in Excel is a MUST; novice with Microsoft Word, and general Microsoft software.

  • Must maintain a compliant, well-organized workstation, and always follow company policies.
