Goal of the Position:
The Product Engineer ensures that Pall's equipment designs (related to our mixing technology) are able to be manufactured, sustained and managed, with the expected Quality! He/She provides first line support for equipment related complaints, supplier development, and supplier validation!
Support new equipment supplier validation from first built unit to volume manufacturing, and perform and communicate risk assessments;
Visit new equipment suppliers (globally) to execute validation plans, instruct and lead them, inspect/FAT first built equipment;
Support equipment suppliers to implement and follow up general changes, design changes, quality improvement opportunities and cost improvement projects;
Be the initial point of contact within the R&D group for equipment complaints; you analyze the complaint and work with QA to solve quality complaints;
Interact closely with R&D peers and Quality, to implement sustainable solutions to avoid similar quality complaints which relate to functionality and processes;
Experience and education:
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
First experience in a Manufacturing Environment and a proven Project Management track-record;
Proficient in English;
Knowledge of SAP is an advantage;
Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
Able to prioritize in a multiple projects and setting;
Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
Teamwork and cross functional cooperative skills;
Willing to travel to local and global suppliers on a need-to basis.
