Goal of the Position:
You will be part of the creative team behind our bioreactors and mixers, managing a strategic improvement program for iCELLis 500 and Xpansion bioreactors. Working in close collaboration with our quality, manufacturing and product engineering team, you will make sure we can deliver outstanding quality to our customers, by improving design and manufacturability of our bioreactors and optimizing manufacturing methods.
Project managementof strategic improvement programs: * Lead project team to successfully complete fundamental product and manufacturing process improvements; * Organize brainstorm sessions to create improvement ideas on the level of manufacturing robustness and output improvements; * Convert these ideas into implementation on design and its manufacturing process; * Overview execution to meet capacity and quality requirements with a long-term perspective; * Bridge end user constraints and limitations to change proposals, remove road blocks; * Boost your team and act as a real leader and coach; * Follow-up, check, challenge but also support your team members; * Listen, understand, translate and document internal and external customers’ requirements; * Evaluate project tasks workload for you and your team members; * Define project planning using Visual Project Management and Daily Management; * Define and keep on track budget; * Evaluate risks (planning and technical) and take decision; * Follow-up, check, challenge but also support project suppliers’ progress; * Work in close collaboration with other departments (product engineering, product management, supply chain, quality, sales project managers, manufacturing engineering, etc.), with frequent global interactions; * Be able to get good technical understanding of the job done by your team members in their area of expertise (mechanical, chemical, electrical; automation…); * Have clear communication being able to report project progress to management.
_Experience & education: _ _ _ * Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent by experience; * Minimum 5-10 years of relevant professional experience; * Experience with new product development project management; * Very good reporting skills (written and spoken), adjusted to your audience; * Experience with project management tools is a must; * Fluency in written and spoken English (company language), French and Dutch are assets; * Good mix of technical understanding is a must (mechanical, chemical, electrical; automation …); * Knowledge of process, equipment and component validation; * Use of 6-sigma tools is a plus; * Knowledge of polymers is an asset (properties, types, treatment methods, forming processes …); * Knowledge of machine design is an asset (steel and stainless-steel forming, assembly and finishing, painting, gaskets, mechanical assemblies, actuators, sensors…); * Knowledge of CE regulatory (machinery directive, LV, EMC) is a plus.
