The goal of the position is the development of Industrial and Interaction Design of new products, and to build proprietary knowledge in the subject matter. Mostly related to our Biotech products. This hands-on design position contributes collaboratively with key partners to both the development of commercial products as well as to our design related tools. The position focuses primarily on Industrial Design (product and interaction design) of Biopharmaceutical products, collaborating closely with Technology User Experience team members. The role incorporates a variety of projects ranging from the development of new technologies, new products, single use consumables, out of box experience, and improving our existing solutions to ensuring manufacturing consistency on the production line.

* Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, User Interaction Design or related discipline; * At least 7 years working in design with a minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment; * Strong hands-on design development experience (a proficiency in CAD is a must) as well as a cross functional collaboration experience; * Must have a strong design portfolio demonstrating both imagination and creative problem solving capabilities; * Use of user-centered design methodologies and exposure to Human Factors research techniques. Your portfolio will demonstrate an understanding of the design process and include examples of 2D and 3D work. You will have excellent project management and leadership skills, an enthusiastic ‘hands-on’ approach, and exceptional attention to detail. A good listener and a quick learner, you have the ability to quickly fit into a new environment, engage easily with others, and motivate them to achieve desired results. Experience in designing both hardware and software user experiences is highly desirable. Candidates should have the passion and potential to work across a breadth of sectors and project types as well as depth of interest and skills in a particular area; such as data analysis, synthesis and visualization, prototyping, ethnography, UX design, software development, or storytelling.
