For our ever-developing site in Hoegaarden (BE), we have a very interesting opportunity for a Team Leader Procurement. In this new role, you will lead all responsibilities of the Procurement team, with key focus on the tactical supplier relationship and all related inventory. Your main responsibility is to capture all requirements for direct and indirect materials, create and communicate purchase orders and ensure supply at the right time, quality and price.
Your Key Responsibilities:
People management of Procurement team:
Coach the team members to ensure daily operations meet performance objectives;
Set the right priorities and ensure work balancing within the team;
Set goals and perform reviews;
Develop your team members by use of D4G goals;
Maximize engagement results by supporting the SC overall engagement plan;
You are a promotor of Danaher tools and ongoing drive for improvement of day to day team performance.
End responsibility of the following procurement processes:
Ensure correct master data (PIR data, lead times);
Timely review of all purchase requisitions for direct and indirect materials;
Timely creation and communication of purchase orders to suppliers;
Receive and enter supplier confirmations in SAP to support availability calculations;
Close follow-up of JIT deliveries to avoid stock-out but support lean inventory;
Tactical and strategic supplier performance evaluation;
Timely resolution of workflow items (i.e. blocked invoices);
Lead, delegate or support projects from procurement perspective
Conduct supplier visits/audits in support of escalations, reviews or projects;
- You are a subject matter expert for your domain in our ERP (SAP) system.
You and your team play an important role in inventory management:
Lead and successfully close swim lanes actions in DMS Action plan;
Continuously seek opportunities to improve inventory management of raw materials;
Responsible for supplier OTIF, supplier past dues, Inventory, PPV and GRIR metrics;
You will work in close collaboration with other departments such as production, planning, quality, project management and with frequent global interactions;
Lead the continuous improvement cycle and organize Kaizen events;
Escalate issues to Supply Chain Management.
Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent;
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement (management) is preferred;
Experience in people management is a big plus;
Excellent influencing skills and confident in working with cross functional teams;
APICS certification is a plus;
Solid continuous improvement mindset and proven experience in project management related to optimizing business process and metrics;
Experience of working in a complex, global environment (matrix organization);
Acting as a role model for Danaher's high ethical values and code of conduct, and operating with transparency and humility;
Fluent in the Dutch and English language is required;
Willingness to occasional travel (20%) to other Pall sites or suppliers.
