Danaher Corporation Account Manager in Hong Kong, China

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to join our team in Hong Kong. Account manager will work collaboratively with a passionate team to promote and sell Beckman Coulter Life Sciences products, achieving the sales target in assigned territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Management: Strategize and visit customers of different level regularly to build and maintain positive relationships

  • Anticipates and identify potential customer needs, circumstance and purchasing intentions;

  • Comprehends competitors’ product features and advantages, with information from their customers;

  • Follows up on demo experiments and collect feedback

  • Lead internal communication across different department (Application specialist, customer service, service engineer) to fulfill customer needs, and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Deal Management

  • Lead tendering and bidding process, project negotiation, collecting the receivable accounts and other activities to close deal smoothly;

  • Follow standard internal procedures and government regulations on quotation process, discount approval and other business activities; ensures compliance integrity

  • Opportunity Management

  • Attend seminars, exhibitions and demonstrations to promote company business;

  • Build up networking among customers to enhance company’s brand image and competitiveness

  • Maintain and manage sales opportunities on SFDC

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

Excellent selling skill, negotiation skill and communication skill is a must for this position.

  • Industry, products and competitor knowledge: Has conceptual and practical expertise in own specialized discipline and basic knowledge of related technical concepts, theories, principles, standards and techniques; learns quickly when facing new situations; is able to complete bidding explanation independently.

  • Listens and responds to customer needs: Assesses and evaluates customer needs and expectations. Leverages internal resources to build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations and influence customers.

  • Solves problems: Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Integrates resources accordingly to solve problems effectively and appropriately.

  • Collaboration: Maintains relationships across functions and locations. Connects with people to accomplish goals. Accesses and allocates resources from other department independently to solve problems.

  • Drives for result: Has capability and desire to set goals that stretch self. Delivers high quality, on-time result and achieves sales revenue target in assigned territory.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree or above; major in Biochemistry, Bioengineering and Molecular Biology is preferred

  • Good command in computer application with Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Native Cantonese, Good command in English (read, write and speak)

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years in-field sales experience

  • Previous experience in life science industry is preferred
