About the role

This is an exciting opening that has multi-functional influence and is a key player in the XOS organization. This Service Technician will work out in the field visiting up to two customers a day including 3rd party test labs, pipelines, and terminals to name a few. We will rely on you to perform installations, training of our customers, and servicing of XOS analyzers. While working in the lab, you'll work on up to 3 units at a time!

You will travel up to 50% in and around the state of Texas, and have 3-4 overnight stays/ month on average in any of our company approved hotels.


  • Communicate directly with customers, sales reps, and distributors to instill confidence

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, XOS instruments, manage customer relationships

  • Perform preventative maintenance service visits; Provide training & mentorship to customers on standard methodologies

  • Respond promptly to critical customers' concerns by email & phone

  • Expertly handle field service calls in a timely manner, issues arising from the field service visits and internal service repairs

  • Submit prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure

  • Create troubleshooting documentation

  • Manage parts inventory & perform monthly audit

Are you qualified?

  • Willingness to travel 50% overnight required from our lab to customer sites

  • Proven technical, analytical, and mechanical skills required

  • Clean Driver's License and MVR required; TWIC card preferred

  • Comfortability with random drug testing required
