Pall Corporation, the global leader in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemicals, and Automotive fluids management is recruiting for a Technical Sales Support Manager for the Fluid Technologies and Asset Protection business (FTAP). This role can be remote based.

Position Objective

  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the FTAP Technical Sales Support team.

  • Ensures team alignment with commercial sales KPIs and strategic plan for closing and developing new business.

  • Manages on-going advanced training goals for Technical Sales Support associates.

  • Monitors and drives Team’s deliverables, KPIs and metrics.

  • Engaged in customer communication around diagnosing technical solutions, Pall’s value propositions in support of business development.

  • Establishes standard work to drive sustainable processes while balancing need for flexibility to meet customer needs and serves as the point of escalation to resolve issues.

  • Coordinates with SME’s, Application Development, Business Development and R&D to find solutions to more complex problems and application requirements.

  • Manages team contributions to customer lunch & learns, white paper development, webinars, and tradeshow involvement.

  • Coordinates and prioritizes work from the technical sales resources with growth initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establishes standard work to drive and track sustainable processes while monitoring and ensuring team deliverables, KPIs and metrics to consistently meet or exceed service levels using daily management.

  • Ensures the continued development, enhancement, and utilization of product selection and budgetary pricing tools.

  • Responsible for the development and utilization of quotation templates for advantage applications product positions.

  • Effectively utilizes Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools for continuous improvement.

  • Conducts customer meetings (internal & external) to discuss support issues, gain voice of customer, and/or address concerns and complaints.

  • Ensure competitive product knowledge within market advantage applications for the Technical Sales Support team and coordinates with competitive product SME/Marketing in support of value proposition discussions with the customer.

  • Travels for a variety of reasons in support of sales; review customers operations/facility, review customer designs, explain the proposed process and equipment, support value proposition discussions, and review the project in detail with the multidisciplinary design teams.

  • Manages on-going, advanced training and cross-training opportunities for associates.

  • Provides coaching, supports associate growth and development and addresses performance gaps for Technical Sales Support Team.

  • Evaluates Associate performance, prepare and deliver mid-year and annual performance reviews.

  • Serves as the point of escalation with internal teams and customers to resolve issues.

  • Holds team accountable for case management, timely follow up with customers (internal & external) and case resolution.

  • Shows ability to adapt in an environment of change, uncertainty, and ambiguity. Can pragmatically make decisions in a timely fashion, especially when there is not a clear path. (Charts the Course)

  • Displays strong customer focus via meeting and uncovering the needs of customers (external & internal) while also utilizing these insights to drive improvements within team activities (Drives Innovation and Growth)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Technical and/or Business

  • 5+ years’ experience in filtration or technical inside sales

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working within the Energy Transition, Chemical, Refinery and/or Oil & Gas industry a plus.

  • Experience with filtration in the Energy/Fuels & Chemical market an advantage.

  • Prior sales experience preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate Commercial aptitude, with experience from prior roles a plus
