Danaher Corporation Business Development Manager Biopharma/Biologics in Hyderabad, India

Summary of Position:Drive the identification and development of opportunities for growth within the advanced segments of the biopharmaceutical market. This person will work with sales associates, the applications team, and regional and national sales management to drive opportunities and market growth from specific sales to higher level collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders in the associated segments.


Travel:50-75% Key Responsibilities: Owns:• Work in collaboration with regional sales associates and District Sales Manager within assigned region to help drive sales growth and identify new business opportunities in the advanced segments of the Biopharmaceutical market (i.e. Biologics, Biosimilars, etc).• Work with Market Development Managers (MDM) and Technical Sales Consultants in associated vertical to drive opportunities and quarterly sales initiatives, e.g. local seminars, lunch/learns, regional conferences, academic partnership programs• Manage key demos for associated opportunities including pre-positioning, data review, and data presentation formats• Win-rate improvement by collaborative sales process with territory sales representative in target markets• Maintain latest information on key workflows/market trends and incorporate into local sales strategies• Collect and distribute Voice of Customer (VOC) and market information feedback in a structured format to associated MDM and Product Management team.• Work with applications support team to optimize demo process for associated workflows• Develop initiatives for regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and works with MDMs and Support to leverage for sales• Coordination/delivery of strategic support for key workflow development at customer sites• Update MSCRM database with relevant information (e.g. Activities, Coding, Groups, Tasks, Quotes, Opportunities) pertaining to contacts and accounts in assigned region

Contributes To:• Annual market assessment and strategic and business plans• Identification of strategic initiatives• Assessment of competitive offerings and development of winning strategy• Product Positioning and Development Strategy• Regional development/growth plans by the DM• Collection and interpretation of VOC to inform product and application requirements

Internal Key Interfaces:

• Inside and Outside Technical Sales Consultants and District Sales Manager to generate strategic business development plans and support ongoing tactical sales activities.• Interaction with Biologics Market Development Managers and Product Managers for input on key activities/opportunities for market outreach.• Global Pharma/Academic Market Management on product positioning/production.

External Key Interfaces:

• KOLs for development of collaborations• Customers for VOC and persona development, customer satisfaction

Key Objectives/Metrics:

• Revenue target for market segment(s)• MSCRM database updates (e.g. Activities, Coding, Tasks, Quotes, Opportunities)• Growth of new business within assigned territory


• Master’s Degree in Life Science• 3-5 years “hands on” experience in biologics analytical workflows• Extensive and expert in laboratory and troubleshooting skills (i.e. preference for biologics LC experience)• Direct experience/knowledge of the biopharmaceutical market• Dynamic/Excellent presentation skills• Strong customer skills & Sales Acumen• Results-oriented• Continuous improvement mindset
