What you’ll do!
Primary focus on lab AKTA, both product and related applications, within their sales territory/region by providing the Account Managers and Sales Specialists with high level technical expertise during pre-sales discussions, instrument demonstrations, customer training, post-sales support, seminars, and promotional events, as well as independently identifying opportunities
Accountable for regional revenue targets and overall business performance objectives.
Responsible for contributing information (market, customer, and product knowledge) to sales strategies and account plans, as part of the core account team.
Relationships - Build strong relationships and maintain good communication with customers to gather information on the customers' needs and relay that information to the account team to identify present and future customer needs, where applicable. Improve customer satisfaction and retention through trouble shooting and continuing education on optimization of customer applications and processes.
Support customer purification and manufacturing projects by providing product and applications information, answering inquiries, giving presentation, providing advanced application focused AKTA training, supporting complex AKTA configurations, assist with logistics, and provide limited bench work.
Contribute to development of product training content. Coordinate and deliver product training to Customers, Account Managers, and Sales Specialists on products within assigned region.
Collaborate cross-functionally across OpCo, modalities and account teams
Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and seminars.
Provide competitive product insight and provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs to internal stakeholders.
Provide coverage for vacant FAS positions if needed.
Who you are!
4 plus years of post-bachelor working experience in a Biotech, Pharma, or Academic lab.
BS Degree in Life Science (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry) or Engineering with Ph.D. preferred.
Hands on experience in protein purification is a must, using AKTA instrumentation, UNICORN software, and chromatographic media/resins.
Skilled at Time Management and know how to prioritize multiple projects in a professional setting.
Team player with a customer mindset and an ability to work effectively cross-functionally for success
Polished Presentation Skills; know how to read an audience during a presentation, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.

Willingness to travel extensively 50% with overnight travel within specified geographic region and to nationwide sales meetings and tradeshows.
