The Biopharmaceutical Copy Writer will be a part of the Biotechnology Business Unit and support the Global Key Account Management team in researching, crafting and delivering engaging content on key biopharmaceutical workflows. Associate will research target workflows, interview internal and external specialists, and develop marketing materials for internal and external customers. Will ensure brand positioning follows corporate standards and is consistently articulated in all forms of written communication, while modifying the communication for the channel. Will expand the marketing content by re-purposing and rewriting material for use in internal and external deliverables.
Research trends in the biopharmaceutical space, interview internal and external specialists, develop understanding and messaging around key biopharmaceutical workflows (e.g. process development, mAbs quality control, antibody engineering, synthetic biology, etc.)
Ability to read scientific papers and glean insights related to customer workflows, challenges, and opportunities to translate positioning into messaging
Write clear and persuasive copy for website, executive presentations, infographics, and other mediums used to engage our target customer base
Participate in workflow positioning workshops and content collaboration meetings; Collaborate with content workflow team to translate product positioning strategies into engaging concepts and copy for multiple product lines; generate creative concepts that support marketing strategies and key account go-to-market initiatives
Familiarize self with products and services in order to build and adapt copy for target personas in the biopharmaceutical market
Lead quality and regulatory approval process for content projects
Bachelor's Degree - Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or similar and 3-5 years related experience in creating messaging to scientific customers. Post graduate and graduate degrees are a plus.
Life sciences, medical, diagnostics, biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience preferred
Proficient writer. Able to adapt style to medium and tone required to convey complex scientific and clinical data in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. Ensure excellence in messaging consistency and execution by proofing content.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office tools - Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Demonstrated ability to understand complex, abstract science-based subjects and express them in a straightforward, consumer-friendly way
Accustomed to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Ability to multi-task under pressure and balance speed and quality
Responds well and stays positive to constructive feedback and creative change requests
