Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Facilities Maintenance Technician for two buildings which include the following task.

  • Repair and paint walls, floors, ceiling tiles

  • Daytime removal of snow and ice

  • Plumbing faucets and toilets

  • Electrical repairs; lightning and outlets

  • Light Carpentry

  • Check fluid levels

  • Replace filters

  • Clean and lubricate equipment

  • Interior cleaning; walls, windows, doors, and ceiling tiles

  • Clean parking lots, etc.

  • Load, unload, move 50 pounds

  • Assist Sr. Facilities Technician with projects as needed

  • Ability to drive forklift and scissor lift preferred


  • Use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches and hammers

  • Ability to stand for long periods, walking, climbing, standing, reaching and heavy lifting

  • Ability to work in uncomfortably hot or cold environments in awkward and cramped positions

  • Experience using a ladder, and working on the roof

  • Must have good reading comprehension, and ability to interpret service manuals and written instructions.

  • Must be able to use a computer to send and receive email, open and update work orders and enter time sheet information

  • Technical, and mechanical aptitude

  • Strong decision-making skills to solve issues

  • Ability to work without direct supervision

  • On call when required


High School Diploma/GED Equivalency

To avoid injuries, workers must follow safety precautions and use personal protective equipment and must participate in mandatory company-provided safety and compliance training.
