The Global Inventory Analyst will be responsible for driving global inventory turns improvement across the supply chain for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences! This includes ensuring correct inventory sizing in multiple distribution centers around the world, creating and leading a distribution strategy for global inventory, and driving problem solving to enable inventory reduction while improving on-time delivery throughout Beckman’s manufacturing and finished good facilities.
This position will be required to communicate optimally across the entire organization; interacting with Planners, Senior Leadership, Global Distribution, Commercial Teams, and Finance. You will be the champion for the material process throughout global warehouses.
Establishing annual and monthly inventory reduction and turns improvement targets, in conjunction with Finance, across all manufacturing and distribution sites to achieve annual targets
Leading monthly Inventory Operations Reviews with site leaders and the Beckman Life Sciences executive leadership team
Holding periodic reviews of actions plans to address issues and keep teams on track to achieve action plan items
Establishing and implementing new standard work processes across finished good distribution sites to improve inventory sizing and turns
Analysis and optimization of global BEC LS distribution and inventory footprint to enable inventory turns improvement while improving customer on-time delivery
The focus of the role is beyond simply driving inventory reduction. The Global Inventory Analyst is also responsible for developing standard work for achieving sustainable inventory reduction throughout the global distribution network.
Ability to work in a matrixed environment in which high influencing skills are required
Familiarity with high mix, low volume manufacturing and supply chain
Experienced in lean, continuous improvement tools and methodologies
Leadership: proven ability to lead by example; ability to influence decision making with or without authority, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives and bring teams to agreement. High tolerance for ambiguity and demonstrated success working in a highly matrixed organization.
Teamwork: builds cohesive teams and collaborates effectively with others
Planning and Execution: project management and prioritization skills. Solid business acumen. Able to deliver results in a highly dynamic environment.
Analytical Problem Solving: able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data. Innovative and effective solution development, risk mitigation and execution. Hands-on experience with most of the following Lean / Problem solving tools: PSI, Lean, voice of the customer, benchmarking, standard work, etc.
