The IT Manager Information Technology for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for managing a team that provides IT support at our Eastern facilities and executing against IT’s roadmap for infrastructure, security, and continuous improvement.

This position is part of the Enterprise Technology Services group located in Indianapolis, IN and will be hybrid. At Beckman Coulter Dx, our vision is advancing healthcare for every person.

You will lead the Eastern Site Support team and report to the Director IT Applications responsible for site support excellence & infrastructure modernization while keeping our assets and intellectual property secure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage multiple related teams, set departmental priorities, and allocate resources to align with IT’s annual objectives.

  • Build relationships with senior business leaders to ensure IT is aligned with business strategy and viewed as an essential partner.

  • Identify and solve complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging appropriate resources within or outside the department.

  • Impact department results via project execution and budget management whilst uncovering self-funding opportunities.

  • Use analytics to uncover insights, dig to root cause, and drive decisions.

  • Cultivate vendor relationships to ensure best pricing and services continuity.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (prefer Information Technology/Computer Science but not required when tied with experience) with 9+ years experience OR Master's degree with 7+ years experience

  • Ability to work on-site in Indianapolis, IN most days Monday-Friday during standard business hours with availability for emergency outages/repairs 24x7, and after-hours support for scheduled projects on nights/weekends

  • Ability to travel within the US on a quarterly basis with occasional international travel

  • Track record of reducing on-premise infrastructure and replacing with cloud technologies

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Compliance and validation documentation in a highly regulated environment. Beckman is a medical device company and thus is required to meet explicit FDA and other global regulatory requirements which directly affect our IT systems.

  • Achieving & sustaining ISO27001 certification.

  • Continuous improvement methodologies
