* Own commercial/operational facing product management for the MT/HT automation portfolio measured by product line revenue and profit growth targets. * Evolve/advance the MT/HT value proposition to resonate and compete against competitive solutions in market segments with current opportunity for success. * Develop/launch MT/HT sales tools that will simplify and accelerate the sales process of MT/HT automation systems * Leverage market/customer knowledge to inform portfolio strategic initiatives (inclusive of new product development) led by the product management team. * Partner with Market Leaders to develop / execute a marketing strategy for the products to drive the business and support the sales organization. * Partner with Quality and Operations on quality issues and own the communication to the commercial teams and customers when necessary. * Conducts an annual product portfolio audit to determine opportunities for reducing part numbers and inventory in the system. * Lead product solving process and countermeasures for any deviation from key performance indicators across all product aspects of development, operations, quality, sales, and support. * Analyzes the product line performance, including sales, profitability, volume, inventory, and works cross-functionally to define/drive countermeasure activities on revenue and engineering/operations to address profitability issues. * Understands and uses the foundation DBS tools, including 5S, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping. Initiates and champions meaningful and sustainable kaizens that assist in achieving the business unit objectives.
* Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field; MBA preferred * 5 years of product management/marketing experience or 10 years of commercial experience within the lab automation market * Product lifecycle experience including new product launches and retirements * Preferred knowledge of Lab Automation or Genomics markets * Preferred experience in serving clinical and research customer segments. * Ability to conduct thorough situational assessment including market analysis, trends analysis, customer market research (e.g. voice-of-customer), and competitive intelligence * Ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent teamwork skills * Effective personal and project team time management * Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
