Danaher Corporation Regional Sales Manager - Mid-Central in Indianapolis, Indiana

AVT is currently looking for a sales manager for the territory of IN, OH, KY, WV and MI including 2 provinces in Canada. Candidate must live within the US territory.

Must have 3-7 years of industry experience (preferably printing) selling capital equipment in a large territory.


  • Manages a sales territory to achieve sales goals.

  • Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short and long-term sales strategies.

  • Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume.

  • May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.

  • Researches, prepares and presents detailed PowerPoint presentations to the customers that are specific to the product and to the customer needs/goals.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Conducts in-person presentations with pressroom management, pre-press management, financial management, the person authorized to sign the contract, press operators, and maintenance personnel.

  • Spends adequate time in the pressroom to witness the prospective press performance and to gather press performance information from operators.

  • Delivers complete and accurate quote request information.

  • Provides demonstrations of all AVT products.

  • Contact with the supplier of other capital equipment to this prospect and the gathering of information concerning that transaction.

  • Attends regional, national, and occasionally international printing industry trade shows and conferences.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related area and at least 3 years in the field. Printing Industry experience preferred.

  • Must have experience selling capital equipment

  • Requires extensive domestic travel and occasional international travel (up to 90%).

  • Track record of prospecting and developing new customers.

  • Requires computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint programs.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce is preferred or other CRM experience is plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
