POSITION SUMMARY:The primary goal of the Sales Enablement and Training Manager is to lead sales enablement and training across the global sales organization. In addition, the role will own the global sales enablement strategy and plan to improve sales competency of the global sales team to be able to grow in attractive market segments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs and implements localized sales training programs for sales associates for topics including, but not limited to, CRM, PowerBI, Excel, etc.
Maintains CRM tables for up-to-date coding as directed by marketing and other sales leaders including, but not limited to, customer applications, techniques, competitor coding, territory sales gameplans, account and territory targets
Create and sustain sales training strategy to improve the competency and effectiveness of sales team, and improve the skills/knowledge retention as well as being agile for creating training plans for attractive markets.
Create and own the process to evaluate sales competency for both sales managers and technical sales consultants
Leverage Danaher Business System tools and best practices to identify gaps, work with the teams for countermeasures
Owns initial sales training and onboarding as well as post- training refresher, and any potential on-going training programs
Understands and is able to train on all key sales skills and standard work including but not limited to sales funnel management, value selling, negotiation, territory game plans, forecasting, profile data, sales orders and quotes, etc.
Collaborate with technical team for both sales technical and commercial trainings and develop process to improve the quality of training based on real-time feedback
Management of virtual learning platform and drive the platform adoption for new and existing sales
Ensures alignment of KPIs and targets across commercial and marketing functions; facilitates efficient data reporting and analysis
Provides sales result analysis, commercial insights to support critical business decisions and activities; continuously identifies improvement areas based on business insights; develops and executes new reporting tools as needed in coordination with Finance and other stakeholders
Act as project manager for implementation of new customer and sales tools
Provides market and competitive intelligence to evolve understanding of Phenomenex competitive market positioning and market dynamics
Stays current on role-relevant industry best practices including internal and external benchmarking
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other Life Science
At least 5 years of separation science sales/ marketing experience with management experience preferred
Knowledge or experience of Danaher Business Systems preferred
A solid background in all areas of Phenomenex products preferred
Knowledge of pertinent governmental requirements/regulations
Highly developed human relations skills
Knowledge of organizational development theory and practice
