Danaher Corporation Senior Machinist in Indianapolis, Indiana
The Manufacturing Senior Machinist will be an integral member of a dynamic team tasked with manufacturing high quality instruments that meets all customer requirements and specifications.Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Adheres to Company safety rules/policies
Read blueprints and job orders to obtain product specifications (dimensions and tolerances)
Positions and secures work pieces to holding devices, machine tables, chucks, centers or fixtures
Work with titanium and aluminums, etc.
Ability to set specified tools, and depth of cut in accordance with material specifications and tooling guidelines, follow work instructions.
Observes operation and verifies conformance of machined work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, bore gauges, pins, micrometers, and various measuring devices.
Adheres to manufacturing/quality procedures and company policies
Maintain a clean and organized work area. 5S experience preferred.
Focused on customer needs and product development projects
Participate in team building and continuous improvement events
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Minimum 5-7 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment
Medical industry experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with the capabilities/limitations of all conventional/CNC machines Fanuc Controls preferably
GD&T and G & M code experience
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrate the ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time throughout the shift
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time throughout the shift
Must be able to occasionally lift, push or move parts or equipment as needed
Must be able to occasionally lift, move, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds
