Senior Procurement Commodity Manager ensures quality materials and services are obtained within cost requirements. Oversees suppliers to continuously improve quality, delivery and price to support supply chain operations. Looks for opportunities to leverage buying power, maintains supplier relationships and analyzes potential risk or disruptions that could impact business operations. Procurement maintains contract compliance, supplier information, quotes, delivery expectations, purchase orders and materials for production schedules. Individual will make business award recommendations and decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for procurement of Electromechanical, Chemical and Biological commodities. Individual will need the flexibility to support other commodities on an as-needed basis.
  • Analyzes industries, supply markets and sourcing best practices.
  • Manage multiple projects with high fluidity of priorities changes
  • Weekly Meetings leadership
  • Project management
  • Supplier engagement
  • Leads RFQ and quote analysis, supplier auctions, evaluates vendors' capability, quality, reliability and price competitiveness
  • Negotiation
  • Business award negotiations
  • Year over year savings and other cost negotiations including cost control.
  • DPO
  • Supply Chain
  • Supply agreement negotiation, implementation and maintenance
  • On Time Delivery management with suppliers and impacted manufacturing site
  • Escalation and expedites for both quality and on time delivery issues
  • Supplier Development
  • Develops and investigates new qualified sources of supply
  • Conducts and leads business reviews with key suppliers.
  • Supply, Inventory and other contract negotiations
  • Facilitates supplier technical reviews
  • Supervises team members; prioritizes and assign tasks to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
  • Coach less experienced team members to help them respond to enquiries accurately and promptly. #LI-BC1

* Experienced individual contributor with considerable understanding of procurement concepts, principles, and practices. Demonstrates experience and results in negotiating with suppliers on master supply agreements, inventory agreements, part costs, etc. * Demonstrates critical and strategic thinking. Applies knowledge to achieve functional work objectives. Applies analytical skills and independent judgment to develop innovative, practical and consistent solutions to a wide range of complex problems. * Experienced as a project manager and project team member. Has worked with team members in global geographies (primarily in US). Makes material contributions to the completion of specific programs and projects with significant scope that materially impact organizational schedules, resources and costs. * Uses complete understanding and wide application of technical concepts, theories, standards, and practices in the field and is expanding knowledge of related disciplines. * Full knowledge of industry standards and practices as well as ISO9001 and ISO13485 quality system requirement. * Decisions and results have moderate impact on function resources and objectives. * Meets regulatory requirements and establishes standard work, policies and procedures. * Works with minimal guidance and expands knowledge and skill sets beyond own area. * Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering related field with 5 years sourcing experiences in supply chain with focus on high mix low volume business segment.
* Ability to understand engineering specification is highly preferred. * Travel required- 10%-15% Local Travel and possibly up to 10% International Travel. * Business English level is a MUST- fluent in verbal and written.
